Adam Martyn, Technical Manager

Adam Martyn is responsible for managing all engineering aspects across the eleQtra portfolio. His experience covers a wide range of infrastructure projects across 10 countries in Africa and Asia, where he has worked on projects spanning from early-stage feasibility through construction and operations, with over 140MW currently in operations. Technologies have included hydroelectric, geothermal, wind power, biomass, solar PV, and Ro-Ro passenger ferries.

Prior to joining eleQtra, Adam worked as project manager & project engineer at Berkeley Energy and Civicon in the development and construction of utility scale renewable energy assets. At Berkeley Energy he worked across three funds (AREF, REAF I, and REAF II) covering a wide variety of projects, geographic regions, technologies and, project companies’ structures. He was involved from the due diligence of potential investments and preparation of reports for the  investment committee, to the auditing and rehabilitation of operational assets. At Civicon, Adam was responsible for leading several teams in construction of the Olkaria III geothermal plant and led the complete installation and performance testing of all instrumentation, valves, and mechanical equipment.

Adam’s experience of working from the perspective of the EPC contractor, fund manager, developer, and operator gives him a uniquely holistic insight in the development and operation of infrastructure project in emerging markets.

Adam holds a BEng in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Manchester.
